BENGALI AAM PORA SHORBOT

AAM PORA SHORBOT / BENGALI AAM PANNA

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 small sized raw mango
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 6 OR 7 tbsp  sugar or as per taste
  • 1  tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp roasted jeera pwdr
  • 1/2  tsp black salt
  • few ice cubes
  • 3 1/2 cups chilled water

METHOD

Roast the mango over medium flame until all the sides are blackened (charred) . Don’t over roast else juice will ooze out .

Remove from heat and let it cool down for 5 to 10 mins.

Also roast the chilli .

Discard the black part and chop the mango.

Cut and scoop the pulp with a spoon or with your hand .

Transfer the pulp  to a mixie jar , add the roasted mango , mint leaves, sugar, roasted cumin powder, black salt, and 1/2 cup water together and blend until smooth.

Transfer to a bowl and add chilled water + roasted jeera pwdr + chaat masala .

Aam pora sharbat is ready to serve.

Serve in serving glasses by adding some ice cubes.
