CREAMY MUSHROOM

CREAMY MUSHROOM SAUCE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Mushroom – 1 pkt
  • Finely minced garlic – 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil – 2 tsp
  • Butter – 2 tsp
  • Water or stock – ¾ cup
  • Fresh cream – ¾ cup
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Dried oregano / Italian herbs – 1 tsp
  • Pepper pwdr – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

NOTE

  1. Either make stock at home – Basic home made VEGETABLE stock

OR use a maggi magic cube to prepare the stock. Just mix the cube in hot water and mix well till it gets dissolved .

  • Wash the mushrooms well and wipe it . See that there is no moisture . Slice it into 4 pieces if small and 6 if big .

METHOD

Heat butter + olive in a pan  .

Add in the mushroom and stir fry till done and there is no moisture in it .

Add little salt + 1/4 tsp pepper pwdr and mix well.Off the flame.

Drain and remove .

In the same pan , stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.

Add the stock + salt + pepper pwdr + oregano and give a nice mix.

Be careful while adding salt as we are adding stock .

Bring to a boil.

Lower the flame and add the fresh cream + lemon juice and mix well.

Again bring to a boil .

Add the stir fried mushrooms and mix well .

Simmer on low flame for  1 or 2 mins and off the flame.

Sevre hot with grilled  chicken / pasta/ spaghetti/ mashed potato / crispy cheesy garlic bread / tossed veges /Salads

NOTE

  1. Instead of adding lemon juice in the sauce , you can add while serving .
  2. We can add cheese / spinach etc
  3. I made it thin , as my family loves this sauce.You can make thick .
