HEALTHY ASH GOURD JUICE FOR WEIGHTLOSS / WINTER MELON JUICE/ PETHA JUICE

Ash gourd juice is low in calories and fats and thus it may be beneficial to people who want to lose weight. The lipid-lowering properties and high content of dietary fibre of ash gourd juice might help decrease serum cholesterol and lipid levels which may help lower body fat.

The high water content in it makes it excellent for those aiming to shed some extra kilos. We all know that fibre content provides fullness and satiety for a long time.

Ash gourd juice is a great detoxifying agent, and is best consumed early morning. This juice can absorb all the toxins, germs and contamination that may have accumulated in ones body through the course of a day. It also has the potential to flush the waste out of our system.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cup [ 500 grms ] –  ash gourd peeled and chopped
  • Β½ or 1 cup –  water or as required to dilute the juice
  • 1 tbsp  – lemon juice
  • As per taste – freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • As per taste  – himalayan pink salt or black salt

METHOD

Peel and cut the gourd . dispose the seeds and centre soft part of the ash gourd. Dice it into small pieces.

Transfer to a mixie jar , add required water and grind into smooth puree .

Strain the juice through a fine-mesh strainer>
Check the consisiteny and dilute it with some water if needed .

Add lemon juice + black salt + freshly ground black pepper.

Mix well and serve immediately within 15 minutes of its preparation else it will lose the nutrient value.

NOTE – We can also add ginger and mint leaves .
