HEALTHY RAJMA DIET CHAAT RECIPE

Rajma is loaded with dietary fiber which means it will keep you full for a longer period of time and therefore stop you from overeating and even contributes to weight loss

 Rajma is one of the most beneficial legumes to incorporate into a weight loss diet plan due to its high levels of soluble fibre and protein. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups cooked Rajma [ I have used white rajma ]
  • Grated carrot / beetroot / finely chopped cucumber – ½ cup
  • 1 Onion  finely chopped
  • 1 Tomato  finely chopped
  • 1 Green Chilli finely chopped
  • 1 tsp grated ginger [ optional ]
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala Powder
  • ¼ tsp black salt
  • ½ tsp roasted jeera pwdr
  • ¼ or ½ tsp red chilli pwdr
  • 2 or 3 tsp or as required Lemon juice
  • Finely  chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste 

METHOD

Soak the rajma overnight and pressure cook them with water + salt till the first whistle on medium flame .Now lower the flame and cook for 10 mins .

Allow the pressure to release naturally. The rajma should be soft and cooked , not mushy .

If there was is any water, drain the excess water and keep the rajma aside,

Into a mixing bowl, take all the ingredients one by one .

Mix well to combine the rajma salad/chaat.

Taste and adjust to taste.

Refrigerate for sometimes before serving .

NOTE

  1. White rajma takes less time to cook compare to long red ones.
  2. You can also use short red rajmas.
  3. Same recipe goes for kabuli chana.
