HEALTHY VEG OATS CORN DHOKLA

INGREDIENTS

  • Oats – 1/2 Cup
  • Sooji – 1/2 Cup
  • Sour curd – 1/2  Cup
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Ginger  green chilli paste – 1 ½ tsp
  • Salt to  taste
  • Carrot grated  – ½  Cup
  • Sweet corn – ½ cup
  • Coriander leaves very finely chopped – 3 or 4 tbsp
  • Chilli flakes or chilli pwder – ½ tsp
  • Eno – 1 Tsp
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves – 1 sprig
  • Green chilli chopped – 2
  •  Sesame seeds – 1 tsp

METHOD

Dry roast the oats for 3 to 4 mins on low flame .

Allow the oats to cool down completely and grind into fine powder .

Take oats powder + rava + curd + ginger garlic paste + salt +carrot + corn + coriander leaves + oil in a mixing bowl.

Add roughly 1 /2 cup water  and start mixing.

Make a lump free batter.

Cover and keep aside for 15 to 20 mins .

Mix the batter again , the batter would have become thick as the water gets absorbed.

Add 3 or 4 tbsp more water and make perfect batter like idli .

Grease a tray / plate and keep water to boil in a steamer.

NOTE _ take a wide tray , as we have to make thin dhoklas.

Once the water starts boiling , add eno and start mixing the batter in one direction .

Pour the batter in the greased travy/ plate and tap it gently .

Sprinkle chilli flakes / chilli powder all over the batter .

Keep the dhokla to steam on high flame for 15 to 18 mins .

Once done , allow to cool and cut it .

Temper it with oil + mustard seeds + green chilli + curry leaves + sesame seeds and pour it over the dhokla .

Serve with green sweet and tangy chutney .
