LOLLO ROSSO SALAD RECIPE /CORAL LETTUCE SALAD

It is a variety of lettuce originating in Italy, having curly red-tipped leaves and a slightly bitter taste.

The leaves have a crisp, semi-succulent, hardy texture and ruffled tips. Lollo Rosso’s flavor is bold, slightly bitter and nutty.

The leaves are produced loosely in a whole head, are tender in taste, with a slight bitterness.

It makes a colourful addition to summer salads, and has a refreshing taste.

The leaves are most popularly added to salads with other greens as the curly leaves increase the surface area and have the ability to catch and hold salad dressing.

The leaves can also be used as a garnish, layered in sandwiches, torn and sprinkled over soups, or served as a bed for cooked meat or rolls and wraps .

INGREDIENTS

  • Lollo rosso leaves torn – 3 or 4  cup
  • Red and yellow capsicum chopped – 1 cup
  • Cucumber chopped – 1
  • Tomato chopped –  1 [ discard the seeds ]
  • Honey mustard – 2 tbsp
  • Onion sauce – 2 tbsp

NOTE –

  1. You can add veges of your choice like – corn / green capsicum /onion / Paneer / cheese / dry fruits / fresh fruits  etc

  3. Taste better with the vinaigrette dressing , which  is prepared by mixing vinegar / lemon juice , oil, salt, and black pepper together.

METHOD

Take all ingredients one by on in a big bowl as shown in the video and mix well.

Refrigerate for some times .

Serve chilled .
