SHREDDED CHICKEN /PICCHI POTTA CHICKEN

INGREDIENTS

  • Shredded chicken – 2 cup
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Onion – 1 big  sliced
  • Green chilli – 1  chopped
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Tomato – 1 bigg finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder – ¼  tsp
  • Chili powder – 1 Tsp
  • Garam Masala powder – ¾  tsp
  • Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • Pepper powder – ½  tsp
  • Chopped Coriander leaves for garnish

METHOD

Cook the chicken for 10 mins till done , don’t over cook . You can use leftover fried or tandoori chicken also .

Let the chicken cool and then shred it into chunky pieces.

Heat oil and add the sliced onions + green chillies  + curry leaves .

Stir fry till golden-brown in colour.

Add the ginger-garlic paste and stir fry till raw smell leaves .

Add the tomatoes +  salt and mix.

Cook till the tomatoes soften .

Add the turmeric powder + chilli powder + garam masala + coriander pwdr + pepper pwdr  and stir fry for few seconds .

Add 2 or 3 tbsp water and mix well .

Add the shredded chicken to the pan and mix well until the chicken chunks are completely coated in the masala.

Stir fry for 1 or 2 mins and off the flame .as the chicken is already cooked there is no need to cook more . Else it will become rubbery .

Garnish with coriander leaves .

Pichi Potta Chicken / Shredded Chicken masala is ready to be served .DRIZZLE LEMON JUICE WHILE SERVING.
