Aloo paratha without stuffing /aloo roti

              ALOO PARATHA WITHOUT STUFFING /ALOO ROTI 

Easy to prepare with few ingredients  and no stress of stuffing and rolling .No stress of paratha breaking and stuffing coming out.

ALOO PARATHA

INGREDIENTS [ you can add more spices of your choice , I have made it plain ]

  • Boiled and mashed potato – 2  Cup [ 4 or 5 potatoes ]
  • Wheat flour – 2 cup
  • green chilli + garlic + ginger paste  – 2 tsp
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves  – 1/2 cup
  • Kasoori methi – 1 tbsp
  • Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil /ghee for frying the parathas .

METHOD

Take the mashed potato in a big plate .See that there are no lumps .

Add coriander leaves + chaat masala +green chilly ginger garlic paste + salt .

Now slowly add the flour and mix well and knead to the consistency of paratha dough as shown in the pic. [I have not used any liquid to knead the dough]

If you are not able to need and the mixture is dry ,the sprinkle little water and knead.

Divide the dough into big balls.

Roll it into circles with the thickness you want.

Both thin and thick taste nice .

Fry it on a hot tava by applying ghee or oil on both the sides till brown spots appear.

Fry on medium flame.[ you can see the paratha puffing up in the pic]

Serve hot with any dip, green chutney ,peanut chutney pwdr ,sauce , curd+pickle ,non-veg gravies.

NOTES.

  1. Mash the potato very well.
  2. Any other spice you like – amchur pwder + chaat masala + jeera pwdr + garam masala + turmeric powder can be added .
  3. You can also add methi leaves.
  4. You can also try other parathas prepared in the same way where in you don’t have the stress off stuffing and rolling it which sometimes breaks and the stuffing oozes out.
