INSTANT ALOO GRAVY WITHOUT ONION , TOMATO AND GINGER GARLIC IN COOKER

INSTANT ALOO GRAVY WITHOUT ONION , 🍅 AND GINGER GARLIC IN COOKER / QUICK ALOO CURRY /POORI ALOO SABZI RECIPE  POORI WALE ALOO RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Medium sized potatoes 🥔 – 400 – 500 gms  [ peeled and chopped in small cubes ]
  • Oil- 2 or 3 tbsp
  • Jeera – 1tsp
  • Red chilli 🌶 pwdr – 11/2 or 2 tsp or as per taste
  • Turmeric pwdr – ¼ or ½ tsp
  • Sugar – 1 tsp [ optional ]
  • Asafoetida – a generous pinch
  • Chaat masala pwdr – 1 tsp
  • Kasuri 🌿 methi – 1 ½ tsp
  • Garam masala pwdr – ½ tsp OR kitchen king masala – 1 tsp or add pav bhaji masala
  • Salt to taste finely chopped coriander leaves to garnis.

METHOD

Take ¼ cup water 💧 in a small bowl , add chilli pwdr + asafortida + turmeric + sugar and mix well . keep aside .

Heat oil in cooker and crackle the jeera.

Lower the flame 🔥and add the masala paste and stir fry till oil separates .

Add the aloo and mix well .

Stir and cook for a min .

Add 1 cup water 💧 and  add salt .

Pressure cook upto 3 to 4 whistles .

Once the pressure release , open and give a mix.

Mash half of the aloo using a ladle .

Now add garam masala pwdr + chaat masala pwdr + kasoori methi and mix well.

Add 1 cup hot water and mix well .Adjust salt if needed.

Mix and simmer on low flame for 1 or 2 mins till oil separates. –

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. –

Serve as side accompaniment for any Indian breads 🍞 like parathas,  poori , pav or  roti.

NOTE

If adding pav bhaji masala add upto 2 to 3 tsp  . and mash the aloo well once it is cooked . would taste similar tp pav bahji and your quick pav bhaji is ready .
