MAKHANA ROTI / MAKHANA PHULKA / LOTUS SEED CHAPATI
Makhana, or lotus seeds, boast a wealth of essential nutrients, including protein, fiber, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, and zinc. Additionally, they are a good source of B-complex vitamins, vitamin E, and vitamin K.

makhanas help improve digestion and keep constipation at bay. They are great anti-ageing foods because they have an abundance of antioxidants.
INGREDIENTS
- Makahana flour – 1 cup
- Wheat flour – 1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tsp to knead
- Water – approximately 1 cup
PREPARATION
Dry roast phool makhana / lotus seeds / foxnut on medium flame until crispy.
Once done allow to cool .
Transfer to a mixie jar and grind into fine powder .
Store and use as required.
METHOD
Take wheat flour + powdered phool makhana + oil + salt in a big plate and mix well.
Gradually add water to form a soft dough and non sticky dough.
Knead the dough well . Cover and keep the dough aside for 5 minutes.
Now take a small portion of dough and roll it into thin and medium sized chapati.
Heat a tawa and place the flattened chapati dough on it.
Drizzle some oil/ghee around it .
When brown spots appear flip it to the other side and cook till done.
Serve it hot with any curry/ gravy .
NOTE – same dough can be used for making stuffed parathas / roti / chapati / phulkas / layered paratha
