INGREDIENTS
- Egg – 2
- Milk – 2 tsp
- Very finely chopped tomato and onion – ½ cup [ ANY VEGES ]
- Finely chopped green chilli – as per taste
- Finely chopped coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil + butter – 2 tsp
METHOD
Break the eggs into a bowl ,add milk + salt and whisk / beat it well till frothy .
Now add the chilli + tomato + onion coriander leaves and mix well with a fork.
Heat oil /butter in a pan. [ very imp – use a small pan for fluffy omelette ]
Once the oil becomes hot ,lower the flame [ very low ] and add the egg batter and swirl the pan to spread the batter.
Cover and cook on very low flame for 1 – 1 ½ minutes .[be careful it doesn’t burn]
Check with a spatula if you can flip it without breaking .
Flip and cook on other side for few seconds.
Once done ,serve hot with any plain or toasted bread .
NOTES
- Beat / whisk the eggs well.
- I cook it on very low flame so that it cooks well and doesn’t burn from bottom.
- I have used basic ingredients ,you can also add capsicum, mushroom ,carrot ,cabbage, chilli flakes, sausage ,salaami, cheese ,cooked and shredded chicken .
- Butter gives more flavour .
- The bottom of the omelette should be yellow colour ,it should not burn.
- Always use fresh eggs or bring the fridge stored eggs to room temperature.
- While beating the egg add little milk for more fluffiness.
- Cook on low flame.
- Use non-stick
- You can useany toppings for the omelette.
- Y not sprinkle cheese once it is cooked.
- After flipping you can place a bread slice in t the centre and fold the omelette like envelope , your bread omelette is ready.
- Cooking time depends on the size of your pan ,bigger the pan lesser the cooking time and vice versa .
- Never add masala pwdrs while whisking it spoils the colour ,if you want to add then mix masala pwdr like chilli pwdr + garam masala + turmeric + pwpper pwdr with little water and add it to the beaten egg and once again whisk it well.
- Beat the egg first then add the other ingredients.
- For very fluffy omelette beat it in mixer.
- Add 1 tbsp milk for more fluffiness .
