CABBAGE RICE FLOUR POORI | CABBAGE KI PURI RECIPE /GLUTEN FREE POORI /RICE FLOUR POORI /

MURAURI RECIPE |

Bihari recipe. Pooris made from rice flour and veges with few spices.

INGREDIENTS

  • Grated cabbage – 1 cup
  • Rice flour – 1 cup
  • Salt to taste carrom seeds / ajwain – ½ tsp
  • Kalonji / onion seeds – ½ tsp
  • Jeera – ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Grated ginger – 1 tsp
  • Green chilli finely chopped – 1
  • Salt to taste

METHOD

Bring ½ cup water + salt to boil.

Add the grated cabbage and mix.

Cover and cook for 4 to 5 mins.

Afeter 5 mins add kalonji , jeera, ajwain , green chilli ,coriander leaves ,ginger and salt and mix .

Now add the rice flour and mix well.

Cover and keep aside for few mins.

Once you are able to touch , then grease your hands and knead it into a soft dough.

Roll the dough into flat.using a cutter cut small circles.

Now, heat oil in a deep shallow pan over medium flame and once it’s hot enough put the flat dough in it carefully. Press the poori firmly with a ladle to help it puff. Flip the sides so that it turns golden brown from all the sides or until cooked well. 

Fry till golden BROWN from all sides on medium to high flame and not low. [ IT HAS TO BE FRIED WELL ]

Serve hot with mayo or ketchup.

Goes well with tomato chutney or potato sabji.

NOTES

  1. Instead of cabbage  we can try with doodhi or radish .
  2. We can store and serve upto 3 days. Good for travelling food.
