EASY RESTAURANT STYLE PANEER GRAVY
INGREDIENTS
- Paneer cubes – 300 grms
- Onion – 1 [ optional ]
- Tomato – 3 medium [ not sour ]
- Cashew – 6 or 7
- Oil + butter – 2 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Red chilli pwdr – 1 ½ tsp or as per taste
- Kitchen king masala – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 2 tsp
- Jeera pwdr – ½ tsp
- Turmeric – ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar – 1 or 2 tsp or as per taste
- Tomato ketchup – 1 tbsp
- Kasoori methi crushed – 1 tbsp
- Fresh cream – 4 tbsp
NOTE – You can add orange tandoori colour for restaurant kind colour ..
PREPARATION
- Chop the tomatoes into small cubes .
- Take tomatoes + onion + 2 cup water + cashews in a pan and bring to a boil . Now cook the tomatoes on medium flame for 10 mins.
- Off the flame and let it cool .
- Once cooled blend into fine puree using mixer or blender .[ DON’T ADD extra water while grinding , just use the water in which the tomatoes were cooked ]
- Take chilli pwdr + kitchen king masala + turmeric + coriander pwdr + kasoori methi in a bowl . Add 1/4 cup water and mix well .
METHOD
Heat oil + butter in a pan .
Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry till raw smell leaves .
Add masala paste and stir fry till oil releases
Add the puree and mix well .
Let it come to a boil .
Add ketchup + sugar + salt and mix well . [ IMP TIP – taste and chk the gravy and adjust sugar /ketchup /kasoorimethi accordingly for the restauarant kind taste ]
Bring it to a boil on medium flame .
Add paneer cubes and give a gentle mix.
Simmer for a min , mix and off the flame .
Finally add the fresh cream and give a nice mix .
Serve with any Indian bread items or rice items .
NOTE – Same recipe you can try with chicken , instead of paneer piece add chicken tikka pieces ]
