FRESH RAJMA BEANS SABJI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Fresh rajma beans – 1 cup
  • Potato big cubes – 2
  • Onion finely chopped – 1 big
  • Tomato finely chopped – 1 big
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Jeera – 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Asafoetida – generous pinch
  • Red chilli pwdr – 1 ½ tsp or as per taste
  • Coriander pwdr – 2 tsp
  • Turmeric pwdr – ¼ tsp
  • Sugar – ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves to garnish

METHOD

 Heat oil in a cooker and crackle the jeera.

Add onion + curry leaves and stir fry till translucent .

Add tomato + salt and stir fry till oil separates.

Add chilli pwdr + asafoetida + coriander pwdr + turmeric + sugar and mix well.

Stir fry for few seconds.

Add potato + rajma and mix well.

Stir and cook for 1 min.

 Add 1 cup water and mix well.

Adjust salt as needed.

 Pressure cook upto 2 to 3 whistles till done.

Don’t over cook till mushy.It should be in shape .

Once done off the flame and allow the pressure to release on its own .

Open the cooker and give a gentle mix .

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot .
