Kairi kanda chutney / Instant onion raw mango chutney

INSTANT ONION AND RAW MANGO CHUTNEY / KHATTA MEETHA CHUTNEY

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 big raw mango
  • 1 medium-sized onion
  • 1 or 2 tsp jaggery pwdr / sugar [optional ]
  • ½ OR ¾ tsp  red chili powder
  • Salt to taste

METHOD

Grate raw mango.

 Grate onion and squeeze the excess juice.

 Transfer them in a bowl.

Grated mango should be more in quantity than the grated onion.

Add grated jaggery, red chili powder, and salt.

Mix it well using a fork.

NOTE

  1. Refrigerate the chutney and finish it within two days, else it’ll get spoiled.
  2. Make it fresh, as and when needed.
  3. Some add peanut pwdr , to add crunchy texture  to it .
  4. Some add roasted jeera pwdr .
  5. Some temper it also .
