                                        DRY PEANUT CHUTNEY POWDER

INGREDIENTS

  • Roasted peanut – 1 cup
  • chilli pwdr – 1 tsp or as per taste
  • garlic – 3 clove
  • roasted jeera – 1/2 tsp
  • tamarind a small piece [optional]
  • salt as per taste

PREPARATION – roast the peanuts [don’t burn it] and remove the skin it OR use already roasted and deskinned peanuts.

METHOD

Mix all the ingredients in the mixer jar and grind it to a coarse powder using pulse mode.

Store it in airtight container.

NOTES

  1. After roasting allow the peanut to cool else peanut oil will be secreted while grinding.
  2. it can be stored for a mnth .
  3. To enhance you can add little chat masala.
  4. Don’t grind to a fine powder or lumps will be formed, it has to be of coarse texture.
  5. Garlic is optional.
  6. You can add roasted coconut / sesame / flax seeds [alsi]
  7. Instead of chilli powder you can use roasted whole red chilli.
  8. A pinch of asafoetida can be added.
  9. Roasted curry leaves can also be added
  10. Even little jaggery can be added.
  11. I have used a stone mortar to grind.
