Ulli Choru or shallot rice is a simple rice recipe. This rice is prepared with small onions called shallots and garlic cloves in ghee.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 or 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp garlic chopped
- ½ or 1 cup shallots chopped
- Few curry leaves
- 3 cup cooked rice
- Generous pinch of turmeric powder
- 2 tsp peppercorns crushed
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan .
Add shallots + curry leaves and stir fry till translucent .
Add the crushed garlic and stir till they turn light brown.
Lower the flame and add turmeric pwdr + salt + pepper pwdr and give a nice mix.
Add the cooked rice and mix well
Stir and cook for a min on low flame.
Serve hot with any side accompaniments .
