HOMEMADE GINGER GARLIC PASTE
[LASTS  FOR  1  MONTH ]

INGREDIENTS

  • Garlic – 250 gms
  • Ginger – 200 gms
  • Oil – 3 tbsp
  • Vinegar – 2 tbsp

PREPARATION.

  1. As the garlic is more and to save time ,soak the garlic in water for overnight  or few hrs .Once it is soaked well, it becomes easy to peel .Peel the garlic and pat dry it.
  2. Soak the ginger for 15 -20 minutes to remove soil. Once done slightly scrape of the dirt or roots on it. I don’t peel the ginger. Pat dry it.

METHOD

Grind the ginger + garlic + vinegar + oil into a fine or coarse paste.

Store it in a container .

Store it in fridge, it goes for one month.

NOTES

  1. I have not used water .
  2. Once you move from fridge for use , immediately put it back .
  3. Don’t use wet hands or spoons while using it.
  4. Storing ginger garlic paste makes the cooking process little less time consuming ,even while making non – veg and biryanis.
  5. Readymade ginger garlic paste has a artificial flavour.[smell]
  6. You can add little salt or turmeric also.
  7. You can also use equal amount of both ginger and garlic.
  8. If u want to add water while grinding, use water which is boiled and cooled.
  9. If you don’t add oil or vinegar it will turn greenish blue.
  10. You can also use olive oil.
  11. It will last for more than 3 weeks.
