MALAI CHICKEN BALLS

CHICKEN MALAI BALLS

A food rich in protein, chicken can help with weight management and reduce the risk of heart disease. Chicken contains the amino acid tryptophan, which has been linked to higher levels of serotonin (the “feel good” hormone) in our brains.

INGREDIENTS

  • Boneless chicken – 500 grms
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Onion – 2 small
  • Cream – 2 tbsp
  • Curd – 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Black pepper pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Green chilli – 3 or 4 or as per taste
  • Corn flour – 1 tbsp for binding
  • Cheese cube – 1 [ optional ]
  • Cashew – 5
  • Oil / butter – 1 tsp
  • Jeera pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Coriander pwdr – 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi – 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

METHOD

First grind all the ingredients [ except chicken ] into fine mixture and transfer to a plate.

Now add the chicken cubes and grind .

Transfer this to the same plate and adjust salt as needed.

Mix well.

Cover and keep aside in fridge for minimum 1 hr.

Now take a small portion of the chicken mixture and roll into smooth balls using greased hands.

Heat oil for deep frying.

Slide in the balls and fry on medium flame till golden on all sides.

Once done remove on absorbent paper.

Serve hot as starters with any side accompaniments like chutney /dips/ sauce etc

NOTE

  1. You can make patties or kebab shape and shallow fry it on a pan .
