MOONG DAL LADOO

INGREDIENTS
- Moong dal – 1 cup
- Sugar – ½ cup or ¾ cup or as per taste
- Cardamom – 3
- Ghee – 2 or 3 tbsp or as needed
- Chopped fried dry fruits – as required [ optional ]
METHOD
Dry roast the moong dal well on medium to low flame till golden colour and aromatic . Don’t burn it .
Once done , remove and allow to cool.
Grind the roasted dal + cardamom into fine powder. Sieve and keep aside .
Now grind the sugar into fine powder.
Mix the dal powder + sugar pwdr well .If adding fried nuts add it .
Heat ghee in a pan.
Pour this hot ghee over the dal powder and mix well . NOTE – It is better to not add all of the ghee at once. Add ghee in small quantities till you are able to form a ball.
Take a small portion of it and shape it into ladoos.
Delicious moong dal ladoo is ready.
These ladoos can be stored in an airtight container and stays well for 4-5 days at room temperature.
NOTE –
Instead of sugar we can use jaggery .
