VIRAL EGGLESS CHOCOLATE TACO CAKE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS [ all ingredients at room temperature ]

  • Maida – ½ cup
  • Coco pwdr – 2 tsp
  • Baking pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Baking soda – ¼ tsp
  • Sugar pwdr – 3 tbsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla or chocolate essence – few drops
  • Milk – 2 or 3 tbsp or as needed
  • Melted chocolate as needed
  • Whipped cream as needed
  • Mango or any fresh fruit chunks
  • Choco chips
  • Cookie or cake crumbs as needed

NOTE – we can use any sponge cake base and follow the video .

METHOD

Sieve together maida + cocoa pwdr + baking soda + baking pwdr and keep aside .

In a bowl take oil + sugar + milk and whisk well till sugar melts .

Now add the maida mixture and mix well.

Transfer toa greased pan and bake at 180*C for 12 to 15 mins till it is done .

Note we need a thn cake , so we have used less ingredients and the baking time is less .

Once cooled , demould and keep aside .Bring to room temperature .

HOW TO SHAPE THE TACO CAKE – FOLLOW THE VIDEO

Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the parchment paper, covering the entire surface.

Place the thin sponge slice on the chocolate. Carefully pick it up and place in between 2 bowls to form the shape of a taco shell as shown in the video .

Place the tray in the fridge for about 15 minutes or till the shell is completely set.

Meanwhile, take the whipping cream in a chilled bowl and whip it to stiff peaks. Transfer it into a piping bag with a star nozzle.

Now, remove the taco cake shell from the refrigerator. Carefully peel the parchment paper to release the hardened chocolate.

Now, assemble the taco cake by piping some cream into the shell, followed by a layer of sliced mangoes or any stuffing of your choice . Repeat and garnish it with some cookie or cake crumbs. Serve cold.

NOTE

  1. You can use stuffing of your choice .
  2. Try any  cake flavours.
  3. Make smaller sized tacos.
