DRY PAAN MASALA / PAAN MUKHWAS / PAAN MOUTH FRESHNER / DRY PAAN

From using it in prayers and religious ceremonies to eating it in the form of a ‘paan’, betel leaves contain many curative and healing health benefits. The leaves are full of vitamins like vitamin C, thiamine, niacin, riboflavin and carotene and are a great source of calcium.
It is also known to ease indigestion, constipation and gastric pain. According to Ayurveda, chewing paan after meals eases digestion as it increases secretion of digestive juices, reduces bloating of stomach, relieves constipation and destroys intestinal parasites.
INGREDIENTS [ all ingredients easily available at paan shop ]
- 2 tbsp luke water
- 2 tsp Sugar pwdr
- ¼ tsp katha
- ¼ tsp paan flavour / Kashmiri sughandi
- 1 tbsp minaxi chutney
- ¼ cup saunf / fennel seeds
- ¼ cup dana dal
- ¼ cup khajur kateli / flavoured dates
- ¼ cup tutti fruity
- 2 tbsp chopped cherry
- ¼ cup coloured saunf
- 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
- ¼ cup kesar laccha/salli supari
- 4 to 6 tbsp gulkand depends
- 10 chopped betel leaves / kalcatti or kapuri
NOTE –
- All the ingredients are easily available in paan shop .
- add ingredients as per your taste.
- You can increase or reduce the quantity of each ingredients.
- I have used KalKatti paan. If using nagarvel paan then use upto 30 .
- Quantity of gulkand depends on the sweetness you want .
- I have not added chuna.
METHOD
Clean the leaves and discard the rotten leaves .
Wash and pat dry the leaves.
Cut off and discard the stalk and tail .
Gather few leaves together and chop it thinly as shown in the video.
Take a bowl with water + sugar and mix well till the sugar dissolves completely.
Now add all the other ingredients one by one and mix well.
Store in a container upto 2 to 3 days .
