PROTEIN PACKED SOYA CHUNKS PARATHA RECIPE

NO STUFFING SOYA CHUNKS PARATHA RECIPE

Soya chunks are rich in proteins and fewer carbohydrates. The regular consumption of soy chunks may help in weight loss. Soy protein may control hyperglycemia and hyperlipidemia which indirectly may help in reducing weight. If you are obese and want to lose weight, consult your doctor.

NOTE – Increase of uric acid may damage your liver and cause joint pain. Therefore, it is recommended to only have 25 to 30 grams of soya chunks in a day. Health experts agree that soy chunks being dense in protein and low in carbs are a good option to include in the meals, but eating too much of it can cause hormonal imbalance and thyroid issues. Part of the problem is also due to soy chunks being highly processed and genetically modified.

INGREDIENTS

  • Soya chunks – 1 cup
  • Wheat flour  – ½ cup
  • Onion finely chopped – 1 small
  • Ginger garlic green chilli paste – 2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 2 or 3 tbsp
  • Ajwain – ½ tsp
  • Red chilli pwdr – ¼ tsp or as per taste
  • Turmeric pwdr – ¼ tsp
  • Chaat masala – ¼  tsp
  • Amchur – ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala – ¼ tsp  
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 1 tsp for dough
  • Oil or ghee as per needed

METHOD

Boil the soya chunks for 5 mins.

Once done drain the water and rinse it,

Squeeze the excess water and transfer into a blender or mixie jar.

Grind into coarse mixture.

Transfer to a plate .

Add all the other ingredients one by one and mix well.

Knead into a dough.

Take a small portion and roll into small parathas .

Place it on a hot tava and roast on both sides by applying ghee or oil .

Serve hot with any side accompaniments .
