ZUCCHINI FLAX SEED PANCAKE RECIPE FOR WEIGHTLOSS /  ZUCCHINI FLAX SEEDS CHEELA WEIGHTLOSS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Flax seeds pwdr – 3 tbsp mixed with ¼ cup
  • Grated zucchini – 1 ½  cup
  • Ginger garlic green chilli paste – 1 tbsp
  • Oats flour / besan  / wheat flour –  ½ cup
  • Rice flour – 1 tbsp
  • Sooji – 2 tbsp
  • Curd – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves -2 tbsp
  • Oil to roast

METHOD

Grind flax seeds and soak 3 tbsp powder in ¼ cup water and keep aside for few minutes .

NOTE – we can directly add the powder to the mixture , but soaking and adding gives a nice soft texture .After soaking , it reacts as egg substitute –  a vegetarian replacement for one egg.

Now add all the ingredients one by one and mix well .

Make a thick dough mixture for pancakes or loose mixture for cheela .

NOTE – I have not added any masalas . You can add spices of your choice like ajwain / jeera pwdr / chaat masala etc

Divide the mixture in to small balls. Flatten it into round shape .

Heat a nonstick pan , drizzle little oil and roast cutlets from both the sides on low to medium flame for  till golden brown , crisp and cooked from inside . Serve hot with any chutneys or  ketchup..
