JUAN CHEELA /BARLEY CHEELA

Barley is high in fiber, especially beta-glucan, which may reduce cholesterol and blood sugar levels. It may also aid weight loss and improve digestion.

INGREDIENTS

  • Barley flour – 1 cup
  • Tomato finely chopped – ½ cup
  • Finely chopped onion -1/2 cup
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves – ½ cup
  • Ajwain – ½ tsp
  • Curd –  ¼ cup
  • Green chilli finely chopped – 2 or as per taste
  • Salt
  • Baking soda – a pinch [ optional ]

NOTE – we can add any spices of our taste like ginger garlic paste or any masalas powder or any grated veges like carrot / beetroot / lauki etc

METHOD

Take whole barley and make fine powder .We need 1 cup flour .

Add all ingredients one by one and mix well.

Add water and make semi thick batter .

Add baking soda and keep aside for 10 to 15 mins .

Now heat a pan .

Pour a ladle full of batter and spread into a circular pattern, like dosa.

Drizzle oil around the sides.

Let it cook for a couple of minutes and flip it and allow it to cook on the other side as well.

Serve it hot and enjoy !
