MINT RAITA/ PUDHINA RAITA
INGREIENTS
- Fresh mint leaves – ¾ cup
- Coriander leaves – ¼ cup
- Fresh thick curd [ not very sour ] – 1 cup
- Green chilli – a very small piece
- Roasted jeera pwdr – ½ tsp
- Chaat masala – ¼ tsp [ optional ]
- Garlic – 1 OR tiny piece of ginger
- Sugar – ½ tsp
- Lemon juice – just 2 to 3 drops
- Salt / pink salt to taste
- ½ cup of very finely chopped onion + cucumber + tomato etc – optional
METHOD
Take all ingredients one by one in a mixie jar .
Add ½ cup curd and grind to smooth paste – avoid adding water .
Now add the remaining curd and pulse beat once.
Transfer to a serving bowl and give a good mix making sure the spices are mixed well.
Add the veges and give a quick mix .
Serve the mint raita/pudina raita along with biryani or pulao.
I could finish the whole raita without any side dishes.I served it chilled .
