MUSHROOM GREEN PEAS STIR FRY
Green peas are rich in polyphenol antioxidants, which are likely responsible for many of their health benefits ( 3 ). Summary: Green peas are fairly low in calories and contain several vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They’re also high in fiber and protein.
Mushrooms are fat-free, low-sodium, low-calorie, and cholesterol-free. They’re also packed with fiber, vitaminns, and minerals. Nutritional benefits vary depending on the type of mushroom. But overall, they are a good source of nutrients like Antioxidants, Beta glucan, B vitamins: riboflavin, niacin, and pantothenic acid , copper , Potassium.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1 pkt button mushroom
- ½ tsp coriander pwdr
- ¼ tsp jeera pwdr
- ½ tsp red chilli pwdr
- Generous pinch of turmeric
- ¼ tsp sugar
- 1 tsp ketchup
- 1 tsp soya sauce [ optional ]
- ½ cup boiled or frozen green peas
- Coriander leaves finely chopped to garnish
- Salt to taste
METHOD
Clean ,wash and pat dry the mushroom well. There should be no water. Chop it into 4 or 6 pieces
Heat a pan with oil .
Add jeera and let it crackle.
Add onion and stir fry till translucent.
Add mushroom , give a nice mix and spread it .
Leave it untouched for 2 mins.
After 2 mins give a nice stir .
Now add the cooked green peas and mix well.
Stir fry for a min .
Add red chilli pwdr + salt + turmeric + jeera powder + sugar + coriander pwdr and mix well.
Stir fry for few seconds.
Now add tomato ketchup + soya sauce and give a nice mix.
Once all blend well , off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves .
