PANEER MODAK RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Paneer – 100 grms
  • Milk – 2 tbsp
  • Milk powder – ½ cup
  • Cashew pwdr – 2 tbsp
  • Rose syrup – 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • Thinly sliced pista / rose petals – 1 tbsp
  • Stuffing Gulkand – 1 tbsp + Desiccated coconut – 2 tbsp

NOTE – I have made rose modaks , you can use any essence or food colour and make. Instead of syrup skip milk and  add condensed milk OR add sugar powder .

METHOD

Take paneer + milk + rose syrup + milk powder + cashew powder and blend into puree .

Heat ghee in a pan and transfer the mixture .

Stir and cook till thick lumpy mixture forms and leaves the sides of the pan .[ 7 to 8 mins ]

Remove it to a plate and let it cool to touch.

While it is still warm, knead it into smooth dough by adding the pista and rose petals .

Take a modak mould , grease the mould with a little bit of ghee 

Start by pressing little mixture into the mould.  

Make a cavity by your  finger.

Fill in the gulkand stuffing and cover it with paneer mixture .

Make all the modaks and you are ready to offer the prasad to Ganeshji.

These small bites of heaven are really worth trying and they are so easy to prepare.
