Soya chunks recipe

                                                                  SOYA CHUNKS KI SABJI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Soya mini nuggets – 1 cup
  • Onion finely chopped – 2
  • Tomato puree – 2 big
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Jeera – 1 tsp
  • Chilli pwdr – 2 tsp or as per taste
  • Turmeric pwdr – ¼ tsp
  • Coriander pwdr – 2 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves for garnish
  • Kasoori methi pwdr – 1/2 tsp [ optional ]
  • lemon juice to serve

PREPARATION

Soak the soya nuggets in hot water with salt for 5- 10 minutes OR boil it for 3 minutes.

Rinse it twice in cold water. Drain the water. Squeeze the excess water with hands .If the chunks are big ,then chop it.

METHOD

Heat oil in a pan and add jeera , allow it to crackle .

Add onion and fry till translucent.

Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell leaves.

Add the soya chunks and stir fry for 5 to 6 mins.

Add tomato puree + salt and stir fry for 4 to 5 mins .

Add chilli pwdr + coriander pwdr + turmeric pwdr + garam masala and fry for a min .

add 1 1/2 cup or 2 cup water .

pressure cook upto 1 whistle . [ 1 whistle for mini chunks and 2 whistle for big chunks ]

Once done off the flame , sprinkle the kasoori meth pwdr  and garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve as side dish.

NOTES 

You can also add green peas to it.
